Needs to look out of the box

This doctor like so many others can only see black and white. I eventually learned I had three different musculoskeletal problems. Enough to cause me to have to retire as a nurse. When I went to see this doctor who was recommended by another doctor, he put my back MRI up on the screen and said I had nothing but what you'd see in a person my age I was around 47 at the time. I had a sudden diabilitating pain in my thigh one day at work that continued and I'm 55 now and it still can be triggered by activity, a bulging disc, and other problems. He told me that bulging discs don't hurt. Don't believe it. Once the bulging disc ruptured that particular pain was gone. He gave me a "faux" narcotic medication, another doctor who thinks if you need pain medicine you're an addict. The funny thing was the "faux" narcotic medicine he gave me made me feel funny in the head then made me vomit and the pain was still there. My regular pain medicine I went back too, never effected my thinking, never made me nauseated and it helped the pain. This doctor blew me off just like several others. He needs to BELIEVE his patients when they say there's something wrong and explore all possibilities. I was a hard working nurse and if he would have believed that I had the severe pain I told him I had maybe my outcome would have been different. In fairness he was one amoung many that dismissed me and did not help me.
